I love to explore the achievements, especially in the arts, of others and what inspired, motivated and drove them to their current successes. During my time working a nine to five I would often click from one bio to another on wiki beginning with Genghis Khan and ending on Anna Wintour (don't ask how it happened, I don't even remember). But one thing all great achievers have in common is they don't stop to observe and conform to what others in the industry are doing, they create their own path and move steadfast, pummeling obstacles on the way to the bigger picture. Maggie Austin is another bio I found very inspiring. She was a ballerina by profession until an injury rendered her unable to further her career in the ballet. Here is her bio text from her website where you can view more of her delicious artwork:
"Following her career as a classical ballet dancer, Ms. Austin completed the prestigious L'art de la Patisserie program at the French Pastry School with honors. She brought her unique artistic vision to life when she launched Maggie Austin Cake in 2010 and has since reached a worldwide audience through extensive media coverage including newspapers, magazines, blogs and television. Exclusively custom and exquisitely tailored, Maggie Austin designs display symmetry, elegance and sophistication with the subtle yet unmistakable mark of haute couture."
